The biography of Abdul Kalam, written by him and published by Pratham Book House, is a biographical account of the life of the Indian aerospace and rocket scientist, who was born on 14 December 1929 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. He is best known for his work in the field of rocket science, which included designing and building the rocket-powered missile, the Proton, the Trimonthai and Kosrae weapons, and the Indian Space Research Organization. He is a recipient of the Indian National Award in Science and Technology, and the Padmashri prize from the Government of India. He is a recipient of the Bangashree Award.
